Do you trust yourself enough to reach for the stars?

Do you trust yourself enough to reach for the stars? “If you want to reach for the stars, you need to involve others.” Involving others starts with trusting oneself to do so. This was the subject of a video presentation my friends and colleagues Gonan and Johan recently did in Santa Cruz at a TEDx conference.

Some time back I wrote about this subject but more recently it has become more prominent in the work I do. Quite simply put, people just don’t trust themselves to do what is important and right in this world any longer.

When we normally talk of trust we do so in reference to others. However, few turn inward to examine whether there are unresolved issues that impacts their ability to trust – whether themselves, or others.

The war on terror, corruption, violence, financial crisis, etc. are all elements that have made us weary about trusting others.
