How to Transform you life

How do you realize your full potential? This is one of the key questions many entrepreneurs and leaders grapple with and one of the most simple to answer.

Transform your life.

I wanted to share with you a few ideas from my coaching experience that will help ensure your ability to realize your full potential.

You see, for most of my adult life I’ve pursued what I consider to be the organizing principles of lasting change and in this message I wanted to share two things with you:

  • A three-point plan that you can use immediately to change and improve your life.
  • Offer you a unique opportunity to fast track your results by getting involved in a very special program. More on that later!

You see, I do believe that the best things in life are free, and that the best strategies in life are simple. By that I mean, simple to understand, follow, apply, teach and share with others.

The following three strategies are simple, and they are also extremely powerful. However, they require consistent and skillful application in order for your personal strategic plan to become reality.

These are the exact same changes that an individual must make in order to create personal change, that a company must make in order to create a lasting competitive advantage, and that a community must make in order to best serve its citizens.

These are the principles that guides my coaching clients when they wish to bring about change in their lives.

Step One – Raise Your Standards

If you are sincere about making changes in your life the first thing you must do is to raise your standards. Simply put, change demands that you expect and demand more from yourself and from those around you.

This means having zero tolerance for mediocrity, procrastination, and any behavior that robs you and those that work for you of potential and increased performance.

The starting point is an honest reflection of your results and the behaviors that underpins those results.

Demanding more of yourself and others require courage and a sustained commitment to the change you desire.

Step Two – Change Your Limiting Beliefs

The biggest challenge you will face when constructing a personal development plan (personal strategic plan) is believing you can achieve it.

If you set new standards but have little or no belief you can meet them, then you’ve already sabotaged yourself and your efforts.

Why? Because, at best your actions will lack motivation. Your lack of belief will rob you of that sense of certainty that allows you to tap into the deepest capacity and resourcefulness that’s within you.

Without taking control of your belief systems you can raise your standards as much as you like, but you’ll never have the conviction to back them up.

Step Three – Change Your Strategy

In order to keep your commitment, you need the best strategies for achieving results. I firmly belief people are naturally creative, resource and whole. If you can set a higher standard, and get yourself to believe, I have no doubt that you can figure out the strategies to help you achieve result.

This said, based on my own experience, the absolute best strategy in almost any case is to find a role model, mentor or coach whose experience and knowledge you can tap into.

Working with someone who can hold you accountable, brainstorm ideas, and challenge your beliefs is the fastest way to success.

Conclusion

The formula for success is fairly simple – set new standards, believe in your ability to achieve them and change your plan of action. However, a sustained commitment to achieve the results and change you desire require
